Terms of service
The rules for using Meymi. By creating an account you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to use most of Meymi. Sign in happens through Google, Apple or an email address, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and, after a thirty day window, permanent.
Subscriptions
Meymi has a free plan that reaches five countries with one recipe each. A premium subscription opens the full catalog.
- New accounts get one week of everything. When the week ends you move to the free plan rather than losing access entirely.
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep access until the period you paid for ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
- Promotional codes we issue grant access directly and are not store discounts. They are not transferable and not exchangeable for money.
What you post
You keep ownership of the photos, recipes, reels and comments you post. By posting, you give us permission to display and distribute them inside Meymi, so that the app can show your work to the people it is for.
Do not post:
- Content you do not have the right to publish.
- Anything abusive, harassing, hateful or sexual.
- Spam, or content that exists to advertise something else.
- Anything that misrepresents where a dish comes from, deliberately.
We can hide or remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend accounts that keep breaking them. Content is hidden rather than deleted where possible, so a wrong decision can be reversed.
Chef accounts
Anyone can apply to publish as a chef. Your creator tools work immediately, and what you publish becomes visible to other people once our team has reviewed the account. We review in good faith and reasonably quickly, but we do not guarantee approval.
Where a chef is paid, the amount and the schedule are agreed separately. Meymi records what is owed and when it was paid. The transfer itself happens outside the platform.
Community
Conversation happens in groups tied to a country or a dish. There is no direct messaging to chefs, by design. Be useful and be civil, and remember that the person asking an obvious question is asking it for the first time.
Content we did not write
Some dishes are sourced from open recipe databases and public video platforms, and are attributed accordingly. Cooking videos are shown through the platform they were published on. We do not claim ownership of that material.
Cooking is your responsibility
Recipes are published in good faith, but we cannot know your kitchen, your ingredients or your allergies. Check ingredients against your own needs, cook food to a safe temperature, and use judgement. Meymi is not liable for what comes out of your pan.
Ending it
You can stop using Meymi at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless doing so would make the problem worse.
